Episode #38: Orthorexia and the shit no one talks about in the fitness world | A Solo Episode

PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (31).png

EPISODE SNEAK PEEK

“If you’re not happy with something in your life. Whether it’s your health, your relationships, the way you talk to yourself, the way you prioritize things, your job…literally anything in your life. You are in control. You are at the drivers seat. And you have the power to change your life if you decide to.

Orthorexia.

A word that until a couple of years ago, I had no idea existed, and yet, applied so wholeheartedly to my relationship with fitness for years.

How does fitness fit into your life?

Do you approach it from a place of lack? Working out because you at that cookie and you’re trying to “work it off”? Or because you are trying to get in shape for that big trip so you can look “good in a bikini”?

Or do you approach it as a gift? Something that gives you energy? Brings positivity into your day? Makes you feel confident, happy, vibrant?

Today’s episode dives into the pitfalls of fitness and how to move out of a negative mindset around fitness.

Are ya ready, let's go.

Episode #29: LYFYL Pep Talk Series | The True Path to Success

PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (22).png

For the longest time, I felt like I needed to be "successful" to be worthy. And thus, to be HAPPY.

This week has been a bit surreal for me — I’ve come back from a trip that was breathtakingly beautiful and adventure filled, to getting this incredible book in the mail that I had the honor of being a contributor for.

And I had a moment of imposter syndrome. Of “who am I to be able to have a life like this?” Where my job allows me to travel and work from wherever and the connections I’ve made have led me to be able to share my story and heart in ways I never imagined possible, like having my work published.

And all of the “reasons” to feel worthy that I used to feel like I needed to be “successful” were staring me straight in the face but instead, I felt like a total FAKE.

I dive into this moment and so much more on today's episode of the pod!

Episode #28: LYFYL Pep Talk Series | The One Thing You Need To Find Your Purpose and Path in Life

PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (21).png

The one thing we're all searching for, right?

How to find your MF FREAKING PURPOSE.

I spent years trying to figure it out and I can say unequivocally that this one thing is THE MISSING LINK to actually knowing what it is.

How can you listen to this more in YOUR life?

Episode #27: LYFYL Pep Talk Series | Becoming a Consistency Queen on your health & fitness journey

PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (20).png

"How do you have so much energy?"

"You're so consistent - how do you stay motivated?"

I get questions like this into my inbox all the time and why I've decided to dedicated an episode of this series to this very topic.

The truth? I find it so ironic that this is my most requested topic because 3 years ago, I was the FARTHEST thing from consistent, especially on my health & fitness journey.

And I've spent the past few years accumulating tools and resources to be able to create motivation and consistency in my journey that has allowed me to find the energy and confidence I have today.

And I'm excited to share these tools with you so you can get there in YOUR journey too!

In today's episode, some of the things we discuss are:

  • What it actually means to be consistent on your health & wellness journey
  • How to show up as your most confident self
  • The truth about motivation
  • And so much more!

Episode #26: LYFYL Pep Talk Series | The Power of Positivity

PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (19).png

EPISODE SNEAK PEEK

"Joy is about showing up for myself and rising to my full potential."

Today's episode is the first episode of the special Live Your FYES Life pep talk series and I'm SO excited to bring this conversation to your earbuds.

Happiness and Positivity are two things that seem to be so freaking tough to maintain -- and I believe it's because we've been programmed to look at it all wrong.

Instead of experiencing joy BECAUSE of external factors (such as job successes, weight loss goals, an amazing relationship etc.) what if we flipped the switch and CREATED our own joy every day that in turn naturally led to success in our lives?

I dive into this and my top 5 ways for creating happiness in today's episode.

Episode #22: Q&A: Morning routine practices, Nutrition, Values systems and more | A Solo Episode

    PODCAST BLOG PHOTO (14).png

    EPISODE SNEAK PEEK

"I was always trying to be this perfect, in the box, version of myself. And I wasn't exploring and breaking beyond those barriers, and allowing myself to dig deep as I have in the past few years."

Today's episode is super special to me for a few reasons.

For one, I have one of the most important people in my life on the podcast. I had the joy of getting to travel back to Canada for my 10 year high school reunion in June (does anyone else feel like time flies by SO quickly?) and three of my best girlfriends from all areas of the world and I spent the weekend at my lake cottage to start the bon voyage to the boobs celebrations.

It was such a magical weekend filled with love, laughter, goofy shiz and I had the honor of having my oldest friend, Caroline, flip the script and interview ME for this edition of our Solo episode series.

Caroline and I have known each other for over 15 years and while we have taken super different paths in life, she is hands down the person who knows me better than anyone -- so it felt only natural to have her on the podcast!

It's also super special because I chat about a lot of topics that I've never shared about on the podcast before, specifically my journey through high school and where I'm currently at with my nutrition and mindset.

Here are a few things we cover in today's episode:

    • How to ride the waves of life

    • My personal mindset around nutrition and what I think of the trendy diets right now
    • How I healed my eczema
    • The high school me and how it impacted who I am today
    • Breaking free of the "box" and the bucket list life
    • My dream guest to have on the pod
